Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead collaborative teams to develop leading edge server and storage products
- Provide technical and program leadership to design teams to develop server and storage products
- Provide technical and program leadership to local design teams to develop server and storage products
- Contribute to Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) for server and storage products
- Provide technical support to RFQs and Business Development activities as required
- Limited hands on testing and troubleshooting of server and storage products as required
Required Education And Experience
- BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field
- 12 years of relevant industry experience
- Working understanding of electro-mechanical system design
- Working knowledge of design tradeoffs between various disciplines (example; Mechanical packaging versus Electrical layout requirements)
- Working understanding of signal integrity concepts and trade-offs
- Working knowledge of mechanical design concepts (sheet metal and plastics)
- Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly process
- Working knowledge of enclosure level factory assembly and integration process
- Ability to see and understand overall system requirements to evaluate tradeoffs and deliver a quality product
- Ability to develop and track development schedules
Preferred Education And Experience
- Experience leading off-shore teams in India and Asia (Taiwan/China)
- Working knowledge of various OS (Linux, Windows, Unix etc.)
- Working understanding of SES, BMC, BIOS and Networking protocols
- Working knowledge of PCIe add in card specifications
- Working understanding of Server and Storage product design
- Working knowledge of SAS, SATA and NVMe HDD/SSD technology
- Working knowledge of power, packaging and cooling trade-offs for high density storage and high power CPU enclosure design
- Working knowledge of x86 CPU complex design
- Working understanding and knowledge of GPU design tradeoffs to include power, thermals, performance, signal integrity, etc.
- PMP certification
Pay
Salary Range(annual): $140,000 - $190,000
