Lead Substation Protection & Control Engineer

About the Role

Manage power systems projects from concept through regulatory compliance, including substation design, protection relay schemes, equipment specifications, and security systems. Lead client communications, develop innovative solutions, review project designs, and mentor junior engineers. Contribute to industry knowledge through publications and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
• PE license
• 12+ years of experience in power systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage substation design up to 345 kV
• Experience with protective relay schemes and hardware specifications
• Knowledge of NESC and NEC standards
• Proficiency in CAD, engineering principles, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, leadership, and technical expertise
• Ability to collaborate with clients and teams
• Willingness to travel as needed
