Responsibilities
- Interviews clients and families to complete an assessment tool such as Addiction Severity Index (ASI) and develops an individualized treatment plan.
- Applies therapies and interventions to address patients' cognitive and behavioral impairment through counseling clients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
- Clinically supervises Certified Addiction Practitioner (CAP) and Certified Addiction Practitioner Assistant (CAPA), serving as a mentor if licensed.
- Provides coverage for Clinical Coordinator when needed.
- Reviews all clinical documentation, services, and issues with a designated qualified Clinical Supervisor at least once per week for 20 hours of direct clinical care.
- Adheres to NAADAC Code of Ethics, as well as the Wind River Family and Community Health Care and White Buffalo Recovery Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains client-centered practices by integrating family and positive support systems, adhering to professional standards of conduct, and modeling recovery-type behavior.
- Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the Department.
Qualifications
- Licensure as per scope of practice requirements.
- Experience in addiction prevention, crisis intervention, diagnosis, referral, direct treatment, and follow-up treatment.
- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and counseling techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
