Lead Subcontracts
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Lead, Subcontracts as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for Maritime Integration. The Subcontracts Lead is an integral member of the cross-functional team, responsible for supporting Subcontract acquisition activities from the proposal stage through Program award and execution.
Responsibilities
- Navigate tactical issues with a high degree of autonomy, while consulting with leadership on matters of strategic program importance as needed.
- Work proactively and directly with multiple functions to identify risks and opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions.
- Manage program budgets and explain variances in monthly performance.
- Generate spending plans, payment forecasts, and variance reports.
- Navigate FAR/DFARS regulations and internal procedures for compliance; International experience (DCS/FMS).
- Support Small Business Initiatives.
- Follow strategic direction set by Program and functional leadership.
- Ensure budget, sales forecast, and EVMS performance is met.
- Establish and implement program plans in compliance with specifications, performance requirements, costs and schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas such as Contracts to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
- Domestic/International travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 3+ years’ experience writing, issuing, and negotiating RFPs, NDAs, and subcontracts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Qualifications
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- CFCM Certification
- Experience in managing various types of complex subcontracts, including hardware, software, complex services subcontracts, and follow-on/production subcontracts
- Motivated self-starter well versed in the Subcontracts Process flow.

Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $95,500-205,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
