Lead Structured Cabling Technician
About the role
We're looking for a Lead Cabling Technician who can take ownership in the field, lead crews, and deliver high-quality installations across multiple project sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys travel, and takes pride in leading work that matters.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in structured cabling or similar field
- Experience leading crews or acting as a senior/lead technician
- Strong knowledge of:
- Fiber optics (splicing, OTDR testing)
- Copper cabling systems
- Industry standards (ANSI/TIA, ISO, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with tools like fusion splicers, testers, and termination kits
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred
- BICSI Technician certification (or similar) highly desired
- Experience in industrial or large commercial environments
Physical Requirements
- Work on ladders and uneven surfaces
- Lift up to 35 lbs regularly
- Stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day

- Per diem and travel support provided in accordance with company policy
- This is a travel-intensive role supporting projects across multiple locations. We try to get everyone home for the weekend but sometimes projects may require extended stays (weeks)
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
