About the Role
As a member of the Strategic Finance team, the Strategic Financial Analyst Lead serves as a trusted finance business partner by providing financial guidance and support. Responsibilities include building budgets, forecasts, conducting variance analysis and reporting, preparing financial analysis (such as cost-benefit, return on investment, and capital resource analysis) for new business opportunities, proposals, contracts, or product development. The role also supports cost savings and process improvement efforts while providing financial governance and oversight—all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.
This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work 3 days per week at our Portland office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or statistics
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or ASA preferred, along with health insurance experience
- 12 or more years of responsible experience, including completion of certifications required in the area of specification or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pharmacy experience preferred

- Delivers presentations on complex financial issues at all organizational levels, influencing decision-making across the business
- Develops complex financial models and analysis using advanced techniques and systems; provides actionable alternatives for broad, complex issues
- Plans, organizes, schedules, and monitors large, cross-functional tasks
- Guides the work of analysts and other team members
- Leads high-impact initiatives, driving positive change internally and externally; functions independently and mentors others
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with no unusual working conditions.
Pay
Oregon: The expected hiring range is $121,600 - $164,500, with a full salary range of $114,000 - $186,000. The bonus target is 15%.
