About the role

The Strategic Account Manager at Exact Sciences plays a crucial role in enhancing the system of care by forming partnerships across key stakeholders within independent delivery networks (IDNs), health systems, and academic institutions. This role involves generating deep insights into local healthcare ecosystems, analyzing the treatment journey, building relationships, and implementing business plans to improve patient access and adoption of Exact Sciences' solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems comprising IDNs and aligned HCPs to identify opportunities for improving the system of care and patient outcomes.
  • Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care to improve clinical decision-making and patient health outcomes.
  • Build a network of relationships with key stakeholders to understand their unmet needs and share insights with relevant teams.
  • Synthesize data from various sources to track progress against business and customer plans and adapt as necessary.
  • Develop and implement business and customer plans to influence the system to deliver improved patient access and adoption of Exact Sciences' solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of these plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader health system strategies.
  • Communicate a clear vision for the healthcare system to mobilize resources and address customer needs.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects, demonstrating strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Present ideas and evidence-based data to customers in a compelling and impactful manner.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to achieve business goals.
  • Support and comply with Exact Sciences’ Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in the healthcare space, specifically in diagnostics, surgery, or pharmaceuticals.
  • 2+ years of experience in navigating access/selling IDNs, health systems, or academic institutions.
  • Proven success in cross-functional and team environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Valid driver’s license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed.
  • No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months.
  • No alcohol or drug-related incidents within the last 36 months.
  • Ability to meet healthcare facility requirements for access and accommodations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
