About the role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Lead Statistician to serve as the primary statistical expert within a collaborative team, providing statistical analysis and methodology support for Government-originated data analysis studies. The Lead Statistician will develop tactical study plans to answer business questions, perform quantitative research, and provide written summaries of study results. Responsibilities include selecting and implementing appropriate statistical analysis, conducting analyses to derive conclusions, engaging with customers and team members on design and methodological issues, evaluating the relative advantage of collecting new data versus using extant data, and defining statistical design and methodology to meet study needs.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to obtain a Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field
• 10 years of experience as a Statistician

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting research requests and developing analysis plans
• Experience performing high-level statistical analysis, statistical sampling, and computing required sample sizes

  • Multivariate Data Analysis
• Experience working on projects of complex scope where independent judgment is used within a broad range of defined procedures and practices
• Experience communicating in written documents and providing oral briefings
• Experience developing new applications and methodologies for existing or newly acquired data, and leading design efforts in selecting statistical methodology
• Experience with statistical programming software (e.g., SAS, R, Matlab, Python, etc.)
