About the Opportunity:The LEAD SPECIALIST, TECHNICAL ARCHITECT (QUALITY) role provides domain-level quality leadership for the ExamDeveloper platform. This position is responsible for setting strategic direction for quality processes, automation, tooling, and metrics within the domain. The role involves serving as a subject-matter expert in quality and automation, mentoring senior engineers, leading quality improvements across multiple Agile teams, and influencing key decisions affecting release confidence and test strategy. It is a technical leadership role focused on shaping quality standards and practices rather than people management. Responsibilities:Define and drive the quality strategy, including processes, automation, tooling, training, and metrics.Collaborate with Product Architects and Engineering leadership on long-term quality and automation plans.Continuously assess and improve QA processes, tools, data, and practices.Establish and monitor quality metrics such as automation health, defect leakage, and release readiness.Act as domain subject-matter expert for quality, automation techniques, and critical test scenarios.Lead root-cause analysis and investigation of reliability issues.Mentor and coach senior quality engineers across teams.Provide technical oversight and review of QA practices and test artifacts.Represent quality concerns in leadership discussions and external stakeholder communications.Evaluate emerging testing tools and AI-assisted practices to enhance quality. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.Over 8 years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.At least 3 years as a domain-level quality expert across complex, distributed platforms.Proven influence on quality practices and automation frameworks across multiple teams.Deep expertise in test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.Experience working in large product environments with multiple Agile and distributed QA teams.
