Lead Specialist, Financial Analysis - Group Consolidation

About the role

Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated financial reporting deliverables. Partner with domestic and international finance organizations to support consistent application of accounting policies and reporting requirements. Review and analyze accounting and reporting matters related to investments in subsidiaries and other legal entities, including consolidation adjustments, eliminations, ownership changes, and organizational structure impacts. Lead development and maintenance of reporting instructions, reporting requirements, and related reporting documentation. Evaluate reporting processes and controls, recommending enhancements that improve quality, efficiency, and transparency. Support interactions with internal and external auditors, including preparation of technical analyses and supporting documentation. Develop analyses and communications related to financial results, reporting matters, and emerging issues. Act as a process owner, as needed, to ensure top performance in a control environment.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting/finance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker able to communicate on business/market and legislative issues at a macro level.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to make timely decisions using the appropriate information.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills to provide complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA/advanced degree.
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience supporting multinational reporting environments.
  • Experience in preparing technical accounting analyses and position papers.

Hybrid (In Office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays)
