You, Our Ideal Candidate

You are a hands-on culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality food service. You excel in fast-paced kitchens, follow food safety protocols, and lead by example to support both daily operations and special events. You’re dependable, collaborative, and driven to deliver consistent, outstanding dining experiences.

Responsibilities

As the Lead Sous Chef, you’ll assist in managing kitchen operations and be responsible for food preparation and quality control. Your key duties include:

  • Preparing meals and overseeing kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef and Dining Director
  • Ensuring food is prepared to quality standards and served on time
  • Maintaining compliance with all HACCP, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitoring inventory and rotating stock to prevent waste
  • Training kitchen staff and promoting a clean, safe, and productive work environment
  • Using facility equipment and supplies responsibly to minimize loss and inefficiency
  • Supporting the execution of meal service and special events

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training required
  • Culinary Arts degree or ACF certification preferred
  • Serv Safe Certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of production and supervisory culinary experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting
  • HACCP training preferred
  • Strong customer service focus and organizational skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
