Oak Electric Service is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Solar Installer to join our team and drive the successful installation of solar energy systems. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise solar panel installations on residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans.
- Manage high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams to integrate roofing work, plumbing, fixture installation, and other related trades as needed.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the installation process to ensure system performance and safety standards are met.
- Train and mentor junior installers, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, safety reports, and compliance records for each project.
Skills
- Extensive electrical experience with a focus on high voltage systems and schematics reading.
- Strong understanding of NEC regulations relevant to solar installations.
- Proven commercial electrician experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and fixture installation.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklift operation.
- Construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise on-site work plans.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage project timelines effectively.
