About the role

The Lead Software Engineer will serve as a lead technologist guiding high-stakes software development projects across various technologies and frameworks. This role involves leading teams, building trust with clients, driving architecture and design decisions, and ensuring project success by balancing technical and product needs. The position contributes to both client project delivery and the growth of the technical community within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software development engagements from discovery through production
  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable software tailored to client needs
  • Use a variety of programming languages and frameworks effectively
  • Integrate and build AI/ML-powered features into products or systems
  • Apply automated testing and debugging to improve software quality
  • Manage architecture concerns such as scalability, security, and performance
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams and stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Lead feedback sessions and retrospectives with teams and clients
  • Maintain project roadmaps and prioritize backlogs
  • Manage client relationships and provide regular project updates
  • Identify and resolve blockers to team progress
  • Contribute to organizational culture and represent the company in the tech community

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated success leading software projects
  • Experience with multiple programming languages including Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Go, Ruby, Scala, R, and SQL
  • Knowledge and experience with AI/ML development and integration
  • Proficiency with Git, MacOS/Linux, and CI/CD practices
  • Skills in managing software architecture regarding scalability, security, and performance
  • Able to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities
  • Experience with MLOps, DevOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Data Engineering platforms like Databricks is preferred
