About the role

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale high-volume, low-latency digital products and services. The ideal candidate has strong experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and modern backend technologies, with a focus on building reliable and scalable services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend development experience, including designing and architecting scalable digital products and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, DynamoDB, and distributed caching.
• Experience designing event-driven architectures and high-volume, low-latency services.
• Strong understanding of caching, CDNs, edge computing, and serverless architectures.
• Experience integrating third-party products, APIs, and vendors.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on e-commerce platforms or digital commerce projects.
• Experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, or commercetools.
• Understanding of backend interaction with React/Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and web pixels.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, telemetry, and alerting.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues and performance challenges.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and client-side vs. server-side performance.
