Lead Software Engineer (Python, Invoice/BIlling)

Responsibilities

• Build and unit test flexible, scalable, and robust integration applications for integration between Sales [SFDC], Billing [Zuora] platforms and with vendor applications to manage the invoicing cycle.
• Aid in defining software architectures while collaborating with team members.
• Take leadership and responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.
• Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines for supported applications.
• Assist on architecture decisions with a strong understanding of business impact.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams (US, India, and others) to ensure consistent quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience developing in serverless architecture.
• Strong expertise in: Java, Python and REST API or similar technologies, modern web technologies (Angular, React, TypeScript), SQL and data modeling for production systems [Postgres, Oracle, Dynamo DB], deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), especially services used for event-based architecture, experience with asynchronous processing, event-driven systems, and microservices architectures, working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment [CICD] practices, ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term architectural improvements, strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, comfortable working in a global, distributed team environment.
