Qualified candidates will receive a minimum sign-on bonus of $10,000. Qualified candidates with additional credentials may be eligible for higher sign-on bonuses.

About the role

Join our trailblazing team in the Philadelphia metro area, where you'll dive into the thrilling world of high-assurance encryption products and programs that are pivotal to national defense. Responsibilities

  • Lead a software development team, analyzing requirements and translating them into working and maintainable solutions.
  • Plan development, assign budgets and tasks, track team status, and measure work performed utilizing EVMS techniques.
  • Enforce process across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Perform object-oriented design and implementation, with exposure to software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo.
  • Develop software utilizing Modern C++ tools and standards.
  • Support engineering team members as a subject matter expert in embedded software application development through guidance and direction.
  • Investigate root cause of complex issues and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team.
  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in software development for target hardware.
  • Work closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.
  • Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test.
  • Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship with an Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and target hardware.
  • Usage of a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with EVMS.
  • Project planning, task definition, and assignment; performance monitoring.
  • Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience with Information Assurance and/or cryptography.
  • Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certification such as DO-178.
  • Prior Rust experience.

Pay

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $205,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
