About the role

The Role As a Lead Engineer on the Product Team, you’ll operate as a technical leader who turns ambiguous, high-stakes product problems into durable, high-quality software—while raising the technical bar for the broader team. You’ll partner closely with product and design to define what we build, how we build it, and how we measure success, and you’ll help translate strategy into concrete execution plans. You’ll work on the core workflows that matter most to customers, from the UI they touch every day to the backend services and data models that power them. You’ll also help us translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, reliable product experiences—choosing the right techniques for the job, designing clear interfaces between AI components and the rest of the system, and ensuring the resulting features are observable, testable, and maintainable.

Responsibilities

  • Ship and lead full-stack product initiatives end-to-end across frontend, backend, and data
  • Drive technical design for complex, multi-component systems (APIs, data models, services, UI architecture) with an emphasis on maintainability and operational excellence
  • Build AI-powered experiences using LLMs, embeddings, and related techniques where they create real user value, with strong engineering around evaluation, observability, and iteration
  • Own delivery from scope/design through launch, monitoring, and iterative improvement—anticipating risks, sequencing work, and aligning stakeholders
  • Partner closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape roadmap, tradeoffs, and requirements
  • Improve performance, reliability, and overall product quality at enterprise scale
  • Raise team effectiveness through mentoring, technical guidance, code review, and improving standards, tooling, and processes
  • Contribute to a strong engineering culture with a bias for action, healthy debate, and high-quality execution

Requirements

  • Proven experience shipping production full-stack web applications in a high-ownership environment
  • Demonstrated technical leadership: you influence architecture and execution beyond your immediate workstream
  • Strong track record delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, or phases
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in product (LLMs, embeddings, or similar), with pragmatic judgment about reliability and user outcomes
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity: you can frame problems, propose solutions, and align others
  • Product-minded: you care about UX and customer outcomes, not just implementation
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across functions (product, design, engineering)
  • Ownership mindset and bias for action
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (Rails/React/Postgres/AWS is a plus; adaptability matters most)
  • Curious and continuously learning

Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time systems (chat, messaging, event-driven)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce/CRM integrations
  • Experience building agentic systems or autonomous tool-using workflows
  • Startup experience and rapid shipping
