Lead Software Engineer, iOS

Responsibilities

• Develop iOS client code solutions that deliver on product strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.
• Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and powerful in their simplicity.
• Participate actively in all team agile ceremonies, ensuring all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
• Actively participate in internal and external developer communities, influencing and contributing to discussions.
• Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team.
• Engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.).
• Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects.
• Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions.
• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 3 years of experience building iOS applications
• At least 3 years of experience with Swift

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience building iOS applications
• 4+ years of experience with Swift
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience with Agile practices
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion

Pay

Salaries for this role vary by location and are listed below:

• McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100 for Lead Software Engineer
• Plano, TX: $179,400 - $204,700 for Lead Software Engineer
• Richmond, VA: $179,400 - $204,700 for Lead Software Engineer

Schedule

This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
