Lead Software Engineer – Dynamics 365 / Power Platform

Summary: We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be the senior technical leader for a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform team. You will guide the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise-scale solutions, and make sure they follow architecture, security, and governance standards. You will be the subject matter expert and escalation point across the full software development lifecycle. You’ll also mentor developers and help shape where the platform goes next, including the adoption of AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction and architectural guidance through every phase of analysis and developmentLead the design and build of solutions using Dynamics 365 CE, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Azure servicesReview and approve solution designs, code, integrations, and deployment strategies against enterprise standardsDefine and enforce Power Platform governance: environment strategy, ALM, DLP policies, managed solutions, and security modelsSet up monitoring, alerting, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery practicesEvaluate and implement Copilot, AI Builder, agents, and emerging AI capabilities within the platformDecide the testing approach and oversee comprehensive test plansAct as the escalation point for complex production issues, and provide tier-3 support including on-call coverageAssess vendor solutions and emerging technologies, and make adoption recommendationsMentor developers through code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharingLead process improvements in development, deployment, code quality, and operational supportFollow secure coding standards and fix issues raised by security scans Required Skills 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with Dynamics 365 and Power PlatformExtensive experience with Dynamics 365 CE: plugins, custom workflow activities, Custom APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, and model-driven appsDeep Dataverse expertise: solution management, security model configuration, and customizationStrong C#/.NET skills, including dependency injection, async programming, and REST APIsPower Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate, and Power Platform governanceAzure services: Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, API Management, and StorageEvent-driven and API-based integration designCI/CD with Azure DevOps and Git-based workflowsObservability tooling: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log AnalyticsSQL Server, T-SQL, and data modelingOAuth, OpenID Connect, and ODataA track record of leading technical teams in Agile/DevOps environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills Bonus Skills Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake architecture, and enterprise reporting integrationsMicrosoft certifications: PL-400, AZ-204, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Dynamics 365 Customer Experience AnalystHands-on experience with Copilot Studio or AI Builder No 3rd Party Applications Please! #ValoreMVP
