Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Senior Automation Quality Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks covering React UIs, Python services, and Oracle backends. The role combines hands-on test automation (Python, Selenium, RestAssured), CI/CD pipeline integration, test data management, and reporting with technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration across development, DBA, product, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient test automation frameworks for functional, regression, and security testing across React UIs, Python services, and Oracle backend services.
• Write, execute, and maintain complex automated test scripts using Python, Selenium for UI automation, and RestAssured for API automation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback loops and continuous quality validation for Python-based applications.
• Implement strategies for synthetic test data generation and management to support diverse testing scenarios across Oracle databases and React UI components.
• Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms for test execution results, defect trends, and quality metrics, providing actionable insights to project teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of automation QA engineers, fostering technical growth, problem-solving skills, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate extensively with Python developers, React UI developers, Oracle DBAs, product owners, business analysts, and DevOps engineers to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure quality is built into every stage of development.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
• Proficiency with Python, Selenium (UI automation), and RestAssured (API automation).
• Strong experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks for React front ends, Python back ends, and Oracle databases.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in test data management strategies, including synthetic data generation for Oracle and React environments.
• Proficiency with Git (GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab) for collaborative code management.
• Experience with test case management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Xray, and generating quality metrics and reports.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide automation QA engineers.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with developers, DBAs, product owners, analysts, and DevOps engineers.
