About the Role
- Design changes to new and existing applications
- Develop and debug software for new and existing applications
- Lead projects, estimate costs, and plan tasks
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Provide support for production applications (24x7)
What You'll Need
- Experience designing, building, and deploying applications in cloud environments (Azure or GCP)
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable APIs and applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end frameworks
- Experience with Web frameworks (React.js, Vue.js) and Web stack (HTML, CSS, Webpack)
- Experience designing and building real-time event-driven applications and data pipelines using Apache or Confluent Kafka
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong PostgreSQL and Java 17+ experience
- Ability to optimize application performance and scalability through effective database design and query tuning
- Experience developing and maintaining Terraform configurations for cloud resources (Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Big Query, GCS Storage buckets, and building analytics dashboards using Looker lookup ML
- Knowledge of master data management within merchandising or supply chain domains is a strong plus
- 7+ years in software development in an IT organization
- 6+ years developing web applications and REST APIs using Java
- 4+ years working with Azure/Google cloud
- 3+ years with a relational database (Oracle, Postgres)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field
