Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Lead architectural design and integration of applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with business and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Level 3 technical support and serve as primary escalation contact for complex application issues and critical incidents
• Oversee day-to-day application operations, incident management, and service delivery activities, ensuring compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)
• Establish and enforce development standards, architectural design review, and coding best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and quality for system updates and releases
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying technical debt and process inefficiencies, developing and executing remediation plans
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and support analysts, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience supporting government agencies or public sector entities
• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated expertise in .NET application development and enterprise integration with experience performing in a technical lead role
• Experience working with low-code application platforms, preferably Appian
• Hands-on knowledge of integration architecture and patterns including API-led connectivity and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms, with experience supporting solutions such as MuleSoft or similar technologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with experience resolving complex technical issues and driving root-cause analysis efforts
