About the Role

The Lead Social Strategist is a senior individual contributor who owns complex, high-impact social media programs for our clients. You will lead organic social strategy, community management, UGC, influencer marketing, and affiliate marketing across a portfolio of accounts, translating business goals into integrated strategies that drive measurable results. This role has no direct reports, but you will shape how our Social Media service line operates by mentoring peers, sharpening our playbooks, and setting the standard for great work.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated organic social media strategy across a portfolio of client accounts, from quarterly planning to platform-specific execution.
• Develop content strategy and creative direction that keeps clients on-brand while staying current with platform best practices.
• Build community management and brand reputation strategies, including sentiment management and social listening.
• Create scalable UGC programs: creator briefs, messaging frameworks, and performance evaluation.
• Run influencer marketing strategy from creator identification through campaign measurement, across nano to celebrity tiers.
• Advise on affiliate marketing strategy, including commission structures and partner performance.
• Turn organic, UGC, influencer, affiliate, and paid social performance into a single strategic narrative for clients, including Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Partner with Paid Media, SEO, Email, Analytics, Creative, and Account Management to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Mentor Social Strategists and Senior Social Strategists, and help improve department playbooks, SOPs, and templates.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
• Significant agency experience managing complex, multi-client portfolios.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-level organic social strategy.
• Hands-on experience building UGC programs and creator strategies.
• Experience planning and executing influencer marketing campaigns.
• Experience advising on or managing affiliate marketing initiatives.
• Experience leading executive-level client presentations and Quarterly Business Reviews.
• A track record of mentoring peers and improving team processes without formal people management.
• Expert-level comfort with Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Threads, and GA4.

Skills

• Experience with creator sourcing platforms like Billo, Aspire, CreatorIQ, or GRIN.
• Experience with affiliate platforms like impact.com, ShareASale, Refersion, or Awin.
• Familiarity with influencer platforms such as Modash.
• Comfort working in Canva, Google Workspace, and Asana.
