Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer in EDP Platform Services as part of Consumer Technology.

About the role

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex, broad-impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for technology teams
• Participate in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for the Systems Operations functional area
• Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
• Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
• Consult with engineering teams on change design requiring a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid- to senior-level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of SRE practice experience
• 3+ years of experience with Observability (logging, monitoring, and event detection) on cloud or distributed platforms (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Kafka, Airflow, Logstash, Grafana, Elastic APM, Jaeger, Zipkin for Distributed Tracing)
• 2+ years of Hosting Platforms experience (AWS, OCP, Kubernetes, PKS, Azure, VMware, Unix, Linux, Windows)

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 3+ years of DevOps experience (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GIT, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Terraform, UDeploy)
• 5+ years of experience with Agile methodology
• 1+ year of IT Service Management experience (AIOPS, ServiceNow, Remedy, Big Panda, Netcool)
