About the role
The Lead Site Engineer is the senior field representative for XYZ Reality on a project. They oversee the day-to-day activities of the site team, ensure all workflows and standards are followed, and act as the primary point of coordination between the site team and the client. Alongside leadership responsibilities, the Lead performs core Site Engineer tasks, including progress capture and quality inspections on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of Site Engineers and Graduate Site Engineers on the project.
- Ensure all team members follow company workflows, QA procedures, and data capture standards.
- Drive adoption of the XYZ platform among client teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct progress tracking against BIM models using XYZ’s Augmented Reality Device—The Atom.
- Perform on-site QA inspections and record findings within the XYZ platform.
- Attend and contribute to weekly coordination meetings with the client to review quality issues and progress.
- Monitor quality issues raised by the engineering team and ensure they are reviewed and closed out by the client.
- Provide coaching and support to Site Engineers to maintain high delivery standards.
- Escalate risks, blockers, or performance issues to project management when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience supervising or coordinating small teams.
- Understanding of construction drawings, BIM models, and site workflows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and client stakeholders.
- Comfortable using digital construction tools and new technologies.
- Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Suite).
- Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests due to project security requirements.
- Flexibility to travel or relocate as project availability requires.
