Lead Sign Installer

About the Role

FASTSIGNS of Kingston is hiring a dependable Sign Installer / Field Technician to join our local team. If you like working with your hands, being out in the field instead of stuck at a desk, and seeing the direct results of your hard work every day, this is the job for you.

What You’ll Do (Daily Duties)

As a Sign Installer, you will be the face of our company in the field, handling everything from ground-level assembly to high-reach installations.

• Field Installations: Safely erect and mount a variety of signs, including monument signs, building lettering, post-and-panel signs, and interior graphics.
• On-Site Problem Solving: Assess installation environments, verify measurements, and plan the layout before drilling or mounting.
• Final Fabrication: Assist the shop team with final assembly using hand and power tools to ensure a successful install.
• Equipment Operation: Use ladders, scissor lifts, and bucket trucks to get the job done safely.
• Teamwork & Independence: Work on a crew for large commercial projects or handle smaller service calls independently.

Requirements

• Construction Experience Required: Previous experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, remodeling, or general labor is a must.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident and skilled with basic hand and power tools.
• Comfortable with Heights: "Fear of heights" isn't in your vocabulary. You will be working on ladders and lifts regularly.
• Age/Driving: Must be 18 or older with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating bucket trucks or scissor lifts.
• Prior experience installing commercial signs, vinyl graphics, or electrical components.

Pay

Competitive Hourly Rate + Performance Bonuses. Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
