Lead Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise security capabilities across infrastructure, identity, endpoints, cloud environments, and security monitoring platforms. This role will focus on security engineering, threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement of security controls.

Responsibilities

• Support security engineering and incident response activities.
• Investigate and respond to complex security incidents.
• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise security controls.
• Develop detection rules, response procedures, and security documentation.
• Provide technical escalation support for security issues.
• Partner with IT and business teams to improve security practices.
• Evaluate new security technologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support threat monitoring, detection, and security analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, cybersecurity operations, or related roles.
• Strong experience with incident response and security remediation.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise security technologies and controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, cloud security, network security, or email security technologies.
• Familiarity with modern security frameworks and threat detection practices.
• CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar certification.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership.
