The Sam’s Cafe Back of House team operates in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering quality guest experiences through a scratch kitchen model. Team members collaborate to maintain food safety, sanitation, and operational standards while efficiently managing kitchen tasks and inventory. Emphasizing clear communication, accountability, and adaptability, the team meets daily demands with professionalism. Leadership supports ongoing training to ensure compliance with company policies. Responsibilities
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by monitoring product expiration, cleanliness, and associate compliance with quality guidelines.
- Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring consistent quality and proper timing to meet company standards.
- Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, storing, and rotating products while maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise daily operations including scheduling, attendance tracking, and administrative tasks for Back of House associates.
- Lead team meetings, support associate development through training and mentoring, and promote accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and safety regulations to foster a productive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising and developing team members in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to manage inventory effectively, including ordering, storage, and rotation of products.
- Skilled in maintaining cleanliness and safety compliance according to company policies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate daily operations and administrative tasks.
- Commitment to upholding integrity, accountability, and ethical standards in all business practices.
- Adaptability to support continuous improvement and promote a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in large-scale food production or related experience.
- 2 years' of supervisory experience.
- 1 year’s experience with Microsoft Office (for example, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Obtain certified ServSafe Food Handler or related food safety certification within 45 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Inventory Control experience.
- Recipe Development experience.
- Food Services - ServSafe Certification.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
