The Opportunity The Tech Lead, Sales Technology is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and governing Salesforce-based capabilities that support the GB360 Sales platform and broader Sales Technology ART. This role partners with product, architecture, functional analysts, developers, QA, DevSecOps, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, maintainable solutions across Salesforce and connected enterprise systems. The role requires Salesforce technical depth and the ability to lead implementation through SAFe delivery while improving quality, platform stability, and internal engineering capability. Key Responsibilities Lead technical design and development for GB360 Sales capabilities on Salesforce.com, ensuring feasible, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Create and review solution designs, technical specifications, integration designs, data flows, component designs, and release-ready engineering artifacts. Lead hands-on Salesforce development and configuration decisions across Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, data model, security model, and platform automation as appropriate. Partner with Product Owners, Product Managers, Functional Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, and DevSecOps to translate business capabilities into technical stories, estimates, design options, and delivery plans. Design and guide integrations connecting GB360 Sales with enterprise platforms such as US Data Hub, Seismic, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, Teams/Outlook, Power Automate, and other Sales Technology ecosystem components. Lead peer reviews of solution designs, configuration, code, test approach, and release artifacts to ensure Salesforce and enterprise engineering best practices are followed. Support SAFe delivery ceremonies, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, dependency management, release planning, and production readiness reviews. Guide development teams and vendor partners, including reviewing technical work products, resolving design issues, and mentoring engineers and configurators on Salesforce patterns and platform guardrails. Lead incident analysis, defect triage, performance tuning, platform stability improvements, technical debt remediation, and production support readiness for complex GB360 Sales capabilities. Evaluate Salesforce Einstein-enabled features and approved AI-assisted CRM patterns where they improve seller productivity, prioritization, recommendations, workflow automation, and user adoption. Maintain awareness of Salesforce platform releases, limits, security requirements, integration options, and emerging Sales Technology patterns that could improve GB360 outcomes. Required Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience designing and building enterprise-scale applications, platforms, or CRM solutions. Extensive Salesforce implementation experience with hands-on technical delivery across Sales Cloud or comparable Salesforce CRM capabilities. Experience designing and delivering Salesforce platform solutions. Experience designing integrations using REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs, event-based patterns, middleware, ETL/ELT, data virtualization, or enterprise integration platforms. Experience leading technical design, development, peer review, testing readiness, and implementation for complex features or product increments. Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery, including story estimation, backlog refinement, PI/sprint planning, demos, and release readiness. Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical options, design tradeoffs, implementation plans, and risk/issue recommendations. Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and mentoring skills across business, technology, vendor, and distributed delivery teams. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Application Architect, or equivalent Salesforce certification. Experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components or Aura, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, data model design, security model concepts, APIs, and Salesforce platform limits. Working knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, source control, deployment pipelines, automated testing, secure coding, monitoring, and production support practices. Experience with Salesforce Einstein, CRM Analytics, Salesforce Connect, external objects, managed packages, Agentforce or other Salesforce AI-assisted capabilities. Experience with AutoRabit, Azure DevOps, Git, SFDX, Copado, Jenkins, or comparable Salesforce release and DevOps tooling. Experience with Seismic, US Data Hub, MetIQ, underwriting, pricing, marketing automation, or sales enablement integrations. Experience in insurance, group benefits, commercial sales, broker/customer platforms, or enterprise CRM transformation. SAFe for Teams, SAFe Scrum Master, Azure, MuleSoft, or integration architecture certification. Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $122,950 - $181,800. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
