About The Job

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, offering a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All efforts are focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
  • Schedule store personnel.
  • Complete payroll information for all staff.
  • Receive applications and participate in interviews as requested.
  • Train, direct, and supervise new employees.
  • Ensure store personnel are aware of and in compliance with all policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Complete and forward sales reports and other required paperwork to the finance office daily.
  • Ensure the store is well stocked.
  • Support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).

Requirements

The Senior Sales Associate must have a strong background in customer service and sales, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in retail or a similar field is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

The Senior Sales Associate should possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to helping others. They should also be able to demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is preferred.
