Lead Safety Architect - Autonomous Vehicles
About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Lead Safety Architect to join our team in transforming the future of autonomous driving. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of our autonomous vehicle technology at scale.
Responsibilities
Leading multi-functional initiatives to define safety architecture and requirements for autonomous vehicles.
Delivering safety concepts and analysis to enable continuous and safe software deliveries.
Defining and improving safety metrics in collaboration with experts in perception, AI, motion planning, and safety architecture.
Improving processes and tools for safety analysis and data-driven evaluation.
Sharing safety analysis and readiness results with colleagues and management.
Requirements
MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of relevant industry experience.
Structured approach to systems and software development.
Proven record of successfully leading multi-functional efforts in architecture, development, or verification.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems or Machine learning and Robotics experience.
Knowledge and experience in Data science and statistics.
Worked in V&V of safety-critical systems.
Experience with Sensor technologies, e.g. radar, lidar, camera.
Knowledge of System safety methodologies & practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA,..) and safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL4600, ISO21448, ISO 8800..).
Skills
Expertise in safety-critical systems engineering.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
Benefits
Base salary range: $224,000 - $356,500 USD.
Eligible for equity and benefits.
Pay
Base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
