Responsibilities

The Lead RN Case Manager is a contract position supporting the Vermont Army National Guard, with a regular work schedule of 0730-1630, Monday through Friday, and occasional weekend events.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN), with a multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license with privileges to practice in Vermont being acceptable.
• Mandatory: Minimum of two years of relevant clinical or case management experience.
• Mandatory: Minimum of two years of supervisory or team lead experience in a clinical or case management setting, in addition to the base clinical experience requirement (for a total of at least 4 years of professional nursing experience).
• Mandatory: U.S. Citizen capable of passing a Tier 1 background investigation (National Agency Check with Inquiries - NACI) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and necessary IT network access.
• Mandatory: Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Preferred: Additional certifications, such as a Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential.
• Preferred: Previous experience with a Military Health System (MHS) or working with medical readiness systems (e.g. MEDCHART, MEDPROS, MHS GENESIS).

Skills

Evaluation strengths will be given for possessing: a Bachelor of Science (BSN) or higher, a current Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential or equivalent, and documented, recent experience (within the past 5 years) directly utilizing Army medical readiness systems (MEDCHART, MHS GENESIS).
