About the role

The Lead Retirement Specialist is responsible for the administration and oversight of retirement benefits programs for active employees, retirees, beneficiaries, and future retirees. This position serves as a lead resource for retirement operations, providing guidance, training, and support to retirement staff while ensuring accurate and compliant retirement benefit administration.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a lead resource for retirement operations, providing guidance, training, and support to retirement staff.
  • Ensures accurate and compliant retirement benefit administration.
  • Manages complex retirement cases.
  • Coordinates retirement counseling and education services.
  • Performs payroll and contribution audits.
  • Oversights retiree subsidy billing processes.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to employees and retirees.
  • Maintains the integrity of retirement programs.
  • Supports retirement readiness across the University community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of experience in benefits administration, retirement administration, human resources, or a related field.

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Travel: Not required

Pay

  • Pay Range: Targeted salary $55,000 annually, based on experience
