Position: Lead Respiratory Therapist
Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
Full Time | 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7pm – 7:30am, with every other weekend and holidays
What You Will Do
- Cook up the daily shift activities and provide employee assistance to carry out job responsibilities.
- Plan and organize the daily shift activities of Respiratory Therapy therapists and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to department standards in patient care, departmental performance improvements, and budgetary compliance by staff.
- Adjust daily shift work assignments based on workload fluctuations, staffing changes, and unexpected events.
- Provide leadership, conduct assessments, and implement orders according to established patient assessment and protocol treatment programs.
- Assist staff in resolving issues with procedures and/or equipment.
- Resolve patient, physician, and/or nursing complaints and report incidents to the Department Director or designee.
What You Will Need
- Educational Requirement: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Certification Requirement: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association required. RRT, NALS, PALS and CPR certification, required.
- Licensure Requirement: Current State of Illinois DPR Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, required.
- Experience Requirement: Level 3 NICU experience, required.

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
