About the role

The Lead Respiratory Therapist at AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is scheduled for regular staff assignments and delivers safe, competent pulmonary care, via multiple modalities, to patients under the direction of the physician and in accordance with standards of practice, regulatory and licensure standards, and within hospital policies and procedures. The Lead RT is an engaged, active member of the interdisciplinary care team. As an additional duty to staff assignments, the Lead RT is responsible for assuring that the department has adequate numbers of staff to care for the patient population through provision of departmental staffing schedules. The Lead RT also assures appropriate and adequate supplies and equipment to care for the patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers safe, competent pulmonary care, via multiple modalities, to patients under the direction of the physician and in accordance with standards of practice, regulatory and licensure standards, and within hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Respiratory Therapist in good standing, in state of employment.
  • Active National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential per state requirements.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience.
  • Completes all mandatory education.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications
