Responsibilities
- Enhances subject area knowledge and provides external consulting.
- Determines guidelines and standards for the use of specific technologies.
- Serves as the subject matter expert and provides recommendations and solutions for a variety of technical projects or problems.
- Led development and implementation of key programs and/or processes for the organization.
- Designs, creates, and establishes Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) for various technologies and approaches to achieve high quality and consistent results.
- Advises on and executes the incorporation of new tools and experimental and analysis protocols.
- Responsible for continuing optimization of technologies and protocols and achieving greater efficiency and results.
- Establishes appropriate collaborations with Principle Investigators (external and internal) and companies that are developing new technologies.
- Keeps abreast of trends by attending seminars, reviewing literature, and meeting with product representatives.
- Develops and leads the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Manages and oversees the quality control of processes to ensure the best possible results.
- Develops and provides reports to researchers on results and troubleshoots any issues related to data.
- Develops, tests, and validates new data analytical methodologies.
- Creates and facilitates hands on staff training of these methods.
- Tracks and evaluates staff progress/proficiency and alters or enhances training as necessary.
- Represents the department at meetings with internal and/or external entities and promotes departmental interests and strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience required
