JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of productsInspects materials, parts and products at different stages of productionRecords observations and may make recommendations for improving processesPerforms quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of productsInspects materials, parts and products at different stages of productionRecords observations and may make recommendations for improving processes Activities: The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Oversee daily production activities and lot qualification testing as it relates to compliance with all quality requirementsCoordinate/lead Non-Conforming Material (NMR) systemPerform all receiving, in-process inspection, final inspection, first article conformance inspection, set up verifications and data acquisition verifications on a regular basisGenerate nonconforming material reports, review and disposition non-conforming materialsParticipate as an active member of the material review boardGenerate rework procedures/instructionsAssist in defining and implementing process controls that will enable process improvement through the reduction of process variabilityPrimary role will be in the steel department with support of all metals related operations Qualification Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4-6 years of related experienceFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality functionExperience with Microsoft office applications, specifically ExcelRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solveAbility to read Pi-Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauge, and a weight scaleAble to pass a Drug Test **Acceptable outcome of a Background Check At Luxfer Gas Cylinders, our success is built on our values of Customer First, Integrity, Accountability, Innovation, Personal Development, and Teamwork.
