Lead QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Test Engineer to support and manage manual and automation test efforts. You should be skilled to adapt in a dynamic environment, manage changing requirements and plan effectively. You should also be committed to developing skills to provide up-to-date solutions.

What you will do

  • Analyze, design, and build manual and automated test cases based on system requirements and design specification.
  • Understand functional content of assigned projects.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, and techniques to test and assure the quality of B2B, B2C software.
  • Design the overall testing plan and master test schedule for simple level projects.
  • Perform in a lead capacity role within the team in making decisions for the quality assurance of the project / application.
  • Analyze, design, and build automated test cases based on system requirements and design specification.
  • Understand functional content of assigned projects.
  • Analyze defects and recommend quality improvement initiatives for future application / project releases.
  • Regularly coach and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Manage requirements, stakeholder expectations, stakeholder communication, and competing priorities.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance domain leading and managing a team of people.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and perform hands on tasks.
  • Primary responsibility will be to design and automate web application testing using SeleniumWebDriver, REST API and Appium testing.
  • Experience with REST API testing automation.
  • Must have experience working on AI initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience in testing cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle with specific experience in using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of automated tools used to support testing (e.g. test management, automated testing, defect tracking, etc.).
