We develop monitoring, control, and communication solutions that help utility companies improve reliability, increase safety, and gain greater visibility into critical electrical infrastructure. Our Sussex location serves as a key hub for engineering, manufacturing, testing, field service, and product development activities supporting customers across North America and internationally.

About the role

As our QA Test Team Lead, you will lead quality engineering efforts across embedded hardware and software products while ensuring reliable, high-quality releases for mission-critical utility monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small QA/Test team, providing technical guidance, workload coordination, and support for professional development.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities for embedded systems, industrial electronics, firmware, software applications, and user-facing tools.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and quality documentation to support new and existing products.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, manufacturing, field service, and technical support teams to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and improve product quality.
  • Evaluate release readiness through defect reviews, regression testing, root cause analysis, and quality metrics while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience testing embedded systems, industrial electronics, hardware/software products, or other complex technical systems.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating QA, testing, validation, or quality engineering teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret requirements, logs, diagnostics, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.

Skills

Experience with embedded Linux, C/C++, industrial communications, test automation frameworks, or utility-related products is highly preferred.

Pay

$105,000 - $135,000

This is a new role currently authorized for work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
