Lead Purchasing Agent

Description

MORryde is currently seeking a Lead Purchasing Agent to join our Materials Team. In this vital role, you will manage processes throughout the material’s life cycle. Along with managing supplier relations, you will also be involved with many other internal departments, including Production, Sales, Engineering, Accounting, and Administration.

Requirements

• Prior purchasing, procurement (domestic/overseas), or supply chain experience preferred
• Skill and high interest in cost and other numerical analysis
• Confidence to professionally negotiate and manage supplier relations
• Customer service mindset a must, both with suppliers and internal teammates
• Self-motivated and self-managed
• Desire to learn in depth about how the materials & components are made and used in final assembly
• High adaptability to respond to new and quickly changing material requirements and lead times
• Extremely detail oriented and good follow-through skills
• Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to analyze data, stay on top of world events (tariffs, Force Majeure, commodity changes) and trends to make solid purchasing decisions
• Proficiency with manufacturing software systems and Excel
