What You Bring

  • MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
  • 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
  • Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
  • Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour).
  • Focus on Medicare patients in market. Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider.
  • Work with adults, young adults, and/or children.
  • Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation.
