Lead Project / Program Manager – Technical

About the Role

Organizes and accelerates a group of related technology projects or activities across multiple teams, aligning dependent organizations. You will be looked to as the first point of contact for your team or area and the source of truth for status, providing the right information and associated data about the state of the project to the right audience at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Identify and remove blockers and always find the path forward in challenging situations.
• Create mechanisms to effectively report out and control execution.
• Recognize complexity and create predictable delivery paths for large and/or complex efforts.
• Measurably improve, streamline, and/or eliminate excess processes.
• Utilize cross-organizational mechanisms to describe and drive continuous improvements.
• Drive execution of an outcome from inception through successful delivery across the full stack of services/domains or spanning multiple teams and integrations across the enterprise.
• Work directly with external technology providers to support implementation plans and roadmaps, identifying opportunities to be faster, better, and cheaper.
• Understand the needs of engineers and technical operations teams who build, maintain, and operate services and technical assets.
• Regularly review metrics and proactively seek new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Play an active role in mentoring and recruiting others.
• Anticipate bottlenecks and factor in contingency for unplanned delays.
• Determine if success metrics are in place and, if not, work to define them.
• Recognize discordant views and engage in constructive dialog to resolve them.
• Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations, working with teams to improve concurrent project delivery.
• Streamline and/or eliminate excess processes in architecture, production operations, or business areas where efforts or issues are repeated year-over-year.
• Expertise in Scrum delivery.
