Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean work area: occasional hosing down as needed
  • Aid line operators with picking up dropped items, ensuring area is organized and free of debris
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment, supporting maintenance during downtime
  • Coordinate breaks and lunches with other operators, filling in as needed
  • Maintain high productivity on the line by balancing the line and minimizing waste
  • Assist with package changeovers, adjusting rails, swapping parts, and verifying codes
  • Work with forklift operators to ensure correct bottle usage at the filler
  • Ensure the line is well organized and free of debris, washing down spills to prevent slippery conditions
  • Verify employees are using equipment guards and performing tasks safely
  • Train new employees in the work area assigned
  • Lead by example, assist others, and provide positive recognition and feedback
  • Accountable for food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Report actual or potential food safety issues to management
  • Empowerment to resolve food safety and quality issues within scope of work
  • Taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of production experience operating equipment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Detailed orientation and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent time management skills

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Frequent: Talking and hearing, standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, using hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility, wearing a dust mask, performing Confined Entry using LOTO program, exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals
  • Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height
  • Physical ability to work in a production setting
