Job Summary
Responsible for leading a group of associates involved in the production of products. Expedites operations that delay schedules and/or alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained. In addition to performing assembly line functions, also calibrates equipment and maintains tools.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Determines schedules, distributes work, routes trucks, and communicates procedures.
- Interprets machine logs, collects data, sets up new machines for test, trouble shoots machine failures, and interprets error codes.
- Informs supervisor of staff, safety, defective product or mechanical issues.
- Safeguards all safety standards are met by work group.
Environmental Job Requirements
- Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of all types of machinery.
- Two year technical degree in the area of electronics or electrical design.
- Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
- Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.
