The LEAD PRODUCT OWNER, FINANCE APPLICATIONS is responsible for overseeing the systems and workflows that support the finance organization as it scales globally. This role manages the finance technology portfolio, including ERP, procurement, spend, and billing systems. It involves shaping the technology roadmap, prioritizing demands, and driving implementations in a dynamic environment. The position partners with various finance and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Act as product owner for core finance processes and associated systems, managing discovery, design, roadmap, and success metrics.
- Lead complex problem-solving in finance systems, including challenges from international expansion and new product offerings.
- Develop and maintain a strategy for the finance application ecosystem and manage integrations with adjacent enterprise systems.
- Identify and eliminate manual work through automation and improved workflows.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize finance systems such as ERP, procurement, spend, and billing platforms.
- Implement AI and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure application quality through effective software development lifecycle practices and provide mentorship and escalation support.
Requirements
- Over 7 years of experience in finance systems, with 5+ years specializing in NetSuite in a global, multi-entity context.
- Product ownership or management experience within finance business processes with deep domain knowledge.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams.
- Proven ability to solve ambiguous and high-stakes process problems independently while engaging appropriate stakeholders.
