Lead Product Designer

Circle is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join their Identity Team. This role is part of a horizontal platform team, focusing on designing foundational systems like Authentication, Roles & Permissions, and Billing that all other product teams rely on.

About the role

• Transforming chaotic workflows into a unified platform experience
• Designing intuitive user experiences for Roles, Permissions, and Team Management
• Creating a scalable billing infrastructure for customers across the Circle ecosystem
• Tackling high-stakes flows such as Multi-Factor Authentication, Single Sign-On setup, and account recovery

Responsibilities

• Audit and unify fragmented workflows into a cohesive platform experience
• Design centralized billing infrastructure that integrates with different parts of the Circle ecosystem
• Ensure security measures are balanced with user experience

Requirements

• Proven track record working on platform teams, internal tools, or design systems
• Mastery of UI and visual design, with a focus on "fit and finish"
• Experience wrangling technical complexity and translating it into clean, logical UI
• Expertise in Figma, creating scalable components with auto-layout, variables, and variants
• Strategic communication skills to articulate design decisions to leadership and engineering partners
• Empathy for both internal and external users, understanding the needs of developers, designers, and customers

• Base Pay Range: $172,500 - $225,000
