Lead Product Designer

Circle is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join their Identity Team. This role is part of a horizontal platform team, focusing on designing foundational systems like Authentication, Roles & Permissions, and Billing that all other product teams rely on.

About the role

• Transforming chaotic workflows into a cohesive platform experience
• Designing unified identity systems for roles, permissions, and team management
• Creating a scalable billing infrastructure for customers across the Circle ecosystem
• Tackling high-stakes flows such as Multi-Factor Authentication, Single Sign-On setup, and account recovery

Responsibilities

• Audit and unify existing, fragmented workflows
• Design intuitive user experiences for administrators and end-users
• Create scalable components using Figma for easy consumption by other designers
• Communicate strategic design decisions to leadership and engineering partners
• Understand and empathize with both internal and external users

Requirements

• Proven track record working on platform teams, internal tools, or design systems
• Mastery of UI and visual design skills, including typography, color, layout, and hierarchy
• Experience wrangling technical complexity and turning messy requirements into logical UIs
• Expertise in component-based thinking and Figma
• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and negotiate with engineering partners
• Empathy for both internal and external users

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for "fit and finish"
• Experience with Figma and component-based design
• Ability to communicate complex requirements clearly and effectively
• Understanding of security and user experience principles

Pay

• Base Pay Range: $172,500 - $225,000
