About the role
You'll be a lead designer on a cross-functional squad shipping features across the CBS Sports App for iOS and Android. You'll work directly with a PM and a handful of engineers on problems that show up in the product within weeks, not quarters.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with a PM and a handful of engineers on problems that show up in the product within weeks, not quarters.
- Work closely with the research team to understand fan behavior and map out flows.
- Build user profiles and test concepts directly with fans.
- Prototype in LLMs or deep in code, building something interactive to see if an idea actually works at speed.
- Collaborate with engineers to tighten states, specs, and details.
Requirements
- Strong technical intuition and code confidence.
- Experience using AI tools to think through problems, stress-test hierarchies, and explore edge cases.
- Rapid prototyping to production skills, including using tools like Cursor or Claude.
- The ability to bridge the gap between AI and the canvas, using both toolsets to plan, structure, and generate scalable solutions.
- Experience with internal tools to automate workflows and prototype with prompts.
Qualifications
- 8-10 Years of Experience in product design.
- A portfolio showcasing shipped consumer mobile work that proves visual craft, interaction decisions, and systems thinking.
- A genuine obsession with sports, betting, live events, or broadcast media.
- Motion and interaction chops that make a live experience feel alive.
- Contributions to or management of a complex design system.
