About the Role
Provide technical direction related to machine operation and assist the Supervisor. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; resolving problems; and interfacing between employees and the supervisor. Ensure production lines run efficiently and compliantly. Perform all shift supervisory roles in the Supervisor's absence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all department operations, including yields, reject trends, quality, and compliance.
- Follow and enforce all clean room procedures, including gowning technique and hand washing.
- Troubleshoot area systems and production equipment as deviations occur; ensure they operate as designed.
- Act as a subject matter expert in verifying area system operation, line clears, operating parameters, and quality system functions on the BPR per SOP.
- Monitor individual employee performance and assist employees needing additional training.
- Notify supervisor of general operating problems, employee issues, concerns, and performance; advise on individual strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist with validations as needed.
- Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative; understand implications of work and recommend solutions.
- Engage in frequent contacts with individuals representing outside organizations or significant internal stakeholders, requiring skill, tact, persuasion, or negotiation.
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
- Act as an informal team leader; assist junior staff with support tasks requiring judgment and initiative.
- Maintain current GMP standards and operating procedures throughout the shift.
- Maintain general housekeeping of working area and plant.
- Follow all Fresenius policies.
- Regular attendance and maintaining a good attendance record.
- Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies, local, state, and federal laws.
- Escalate difficult or complex issues to the supervisor as necessary.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
- 4 – 6 years of related experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry.
- Ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Must meet Fresenius’ minimum vision requirements for product inspection.
