Lead Privacy Counsel, Infrastructure & Data Governance

Responsibilities

• Lead development and upkeep of the company’s core privacy compliance infrastructure
• Drive complex cross-functional privacy initiatives with minimal oversight
• Assess and advise on evolving international privacy regulations and industry guidelines
• Design scalable global privacy compliance processes and documentation frameworks
• Manage third-party privacy risk assessments with a focus on scalable risk management
• Oversee the company’s privacy incident response program, handling escalation and remediation
• Create training and operational processes to enhance organizational privacy maturity

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and membership in a state bar (or foreign equivalent)
• 8+ years of legal experience in global privacy and data governance, preferably as in-house counsel
• Experience in building and maintaining privacy compliance infrastructure, including data mapping and governance frameworks
• Ability to operate independently and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
• Prowed skill set in balancing multiple projects and fostering consensus within teams
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
